€3.2 million for start-ups

The Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development has approved EU funding for the call for proposals Supporting start-up ecosystem in Slovenia in the period 2026-2029 (JR Startup Consortium 26-29). A financial contribution from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) will be allocated for the implementation of the call, which will be published on 24 December 2025.

The call for proposals aims to establish a consortium that will provide comprehensive and high-quality content support for fast-growing companies (start-ups and scale-ups) in Slovenia. The call is aimed at strengthening entrepreneurial skills, promoting innovation, and increasing the competitiveness of the Slovenian entrepreneurial ecosystem internationally.

The main activities of the consortium will be:

  • mentoring and consulting for companies in various stages of development,
  • promoting the Slovenian start-up ecosystem at home and abroad,
  • establishing connections with investors and international markets,
  • implementing educational programmes to strengthen entrepreneurial knowledge.

The total amount of eligible costs stands at €3.2 million.

The call for proposals will be implemented by the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport in cooperation with the Public Fund of the Republic of Slovenia for Entrepreneurship. The project is implemented under the priority Innovative knowledge-based society. The eligibility period for costs runs from the date of publication of the call for proposals until 31 December 2029.
