€18 million in EU funding for a hydrogen future of Slovenia
The call for proposals aims to unlock investments in the development of the European hydrogen value chain, including building hydrogen production capacities and hydrogen transport infrastructure and supporting the use of hydrogen in industry and transport. With this step, Slovenia makes a direct contribution to the decarbonisation of the economy and the achievement of the European Green Deal goals. The projects are part of IPCEI Hydrogen waves, more specifically Hy2Tech and Hy2Use.
The call for proposals makes a total of €20 million available.
The investment will support the development of advanced technologies such as large-scale electrolysers and energy storage solutions, which will help reduce the country’s dependence on fossil fuels. This means a cleaner environment with fewer harmful gas emissions for the citizens and long-term energy independence for the country.
The call for proposals will be implemented by the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, with the period of eligibility of expenditure running till 31 October 2029.
