€2.88 million in EU funding for new audio recording equipment in courts

The Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development has approved European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) support for the project Purchase of audio recording equipment. The project will result in the complete replacement of outdated audio recording equipment in medium and small courtrooms in Slovenian courts with new, modern technology.

The ministry, eligible for financial support for the project, is the Ministry of Justice. The project aims to improve the functioning of the sound recording system, which will enhance the legal certainty for participants and provide support for the future development of digitisation in the judiciary. Replacing the equipment will help bring it in line with modern technological requirements and ensure better quality services for users of the judicial system (citizens and businesses).

The project is implemented under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027, priority 1 Innovative knowledge-based society, and pursues the specific objective Reaping the benefits of digitalisation for citizens, companies, research organisations and public authorities.  

Total eligible project costs amount to €5,000,000, with ERDF contribution standing at €2,888,975.
