A financial contribution of EUR 5.1 million from the ERDF has been approved for the project Renovation of the premises of the Central Pharmacy of the University Medical Centre Maribor for verification. The renovation of the Central Pharmacy premises of the University Medical Centre Maribor will enable employees to perform their activities in accordance with the regulations of good manufacturing practice, good pharmacy practice, and good storage practice. This will establish the conditions for the verification of the pharmacy and ensure sufficient space and appropriate conditions for the storage of medicines and medical supplies. The aim is to ensure a more secure supply of medicines and strengthen the resilience of the healthcare system, including primary healthcare. Total eligible costs for this project amount to EUR 6,000,000.

The second project, Emergency room extension in building C at the Slovenj Gradec General Hospital, is eligible for ERDF support of EUR 809,904.65. This investment will establish modern conditions for the provision of emergency medical services in the Koroška region. The objectives are to increase efficiency, improve accessibility, and raise the professional level of continuous emergency medical services. This will enable patients to receive fast and effective medical assistance in one place. Both investments are implemented under priority seven Long-term care and health, and social inclusion.
