The Regional Development Agency Green Karst, that is the beneficiary of financial contribution, will be responsible for this EU-funded project. The project will shape the development and management of transport in the region. In this context, it will contribute to climate change mitigation and adaptation by implementing a set of measures aimed at improving regional sustainable mobility through the development and testing of a regional mobility management model. Introduction of sustainable mobility management at the regional level through the establishment of the Regional Mobility Centre Green Karst is key to achieve these goals.

The regional mobility centre will serve as a cooperation platform, bringing together different actors and providing services relevant for mobility management both at the local and national level. The centre will be responsible for coordinating the preparation and implementation of regional projects among municipalities, promoting collaboration between the region and the relevant national authorities in achieving common transport policy goals as well as for communicating with the general public and relevant experts.

The project cost is estimated at EUR 239,154.55. The project will receive EUR 203,281.37 from the Cohesion Fund and will be implemented across the whole of Slovenia.
