The regional mobility centres projects are implemented in the framework of Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027, under the priority Sustainable cross-regional mobility and connectivity. The main objective of these projects is to develop and enhance sustainable, smart, and intermodal climate-resilient communities at the national, regional, and local levels. The main tasks of regional mobility centres are to offer support in integrated traffic engineering at the regional level, and to strengthen cooperation between municipalities, the specific region and the state institutions in implementing transportational policies as well as to raise awareness and inform the population about the relevance of sustainable mobility, improving the accessibility and mobility for all, including vulnerable groups and those living in rural areas, and to support the coordination of the European Mobility Week and the national cycling coordinator.

The funding available for all five projects amounts to € 2.098.120,02, with the Cohesion Fund contribution standing at € 1,775,002.87. The projects support long-term investment in more sustainable forms of transportation, which will help reduce emissions and improve the quality of life in the mentioned regions.
