Fifteenth issue of the Diplomatic Bulletin

This November edition marks the end of an eventful year, during which we have marked many significant anniversaries. The articles largely focus on the importance of the UN and multilateralism in general and the challenges they face. The Diplomatic Bulletin covers the 80th anniversary of the UN, past expectations and the commemorative publication released by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, as well as the visit of Volker Türk, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, to Slovenia.

This month’s edition features an interview with Dr Melita Gabrič, the State Secretary for multilateral affairs, political affairs and development cooperation.

You can read about Slovenia's successful one-year presidency of the MED9 group, which concluded in mid-October with the Leaders’ Summit in Portorož. Also featured are the 13th Slovenian Development Days, which focused on private sector involvement in humanitarian aid and development cooperation.

The bulletin includes a short recap of the recent Consular Consultation held among our colleagues, responsible for safeguarding the interests of Slovenian citizens abroad. Furthermore, this issue revisits some of the key moments from the September anniversary edition of the Bled Strategic Forum, which addressed the future course of Europe and the dilemmas it faces.

Reports from Berlin provide insight into the activities of our cultural centre, SKICA Berlin, and its close collaboration with EUNIC Berlin.

Diplomatic Bulletin No. 15.

The next issue will be published in January 2026.
