EU funding for quality long-term care
As part of this EU-funded project, the Social Protection Institute of the Republic of Slovenia will provide expert support and capacity building for all stakeholders involved in the process of establishing a long-term care system. The project will help build a skilled long-term workforce to ensure quality, safe and person-centred care. It will help raise awareness of long-term care among various stakeholders and lay the foundations for monitoring long-term care and quality of services at national level. The project will thus help improve accessibility of long-term care rights for beneficiaries and ensure expert support for the development of long-term care in Slovenia.
The project will be implemented under priority Long-term care and health, and social inclusion of Slovenia's EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027. It will pursue specific objective Enhancing the equal and timely access to quality, sustainable and affordable services, including services that promote the access to housing and person-centred care including healthcare; modernising social protection systems, including promoting access to social protection, with a particular focus on children and disadvantaged groups; improving accessibility including for persons with disabilities, effectiveness and resilience of healthcare systems and long-term care services.
The €1,330,582.62 project will receive €831,614.13 from the European Social Fund Plus.
