The call for proposals will co-finance eligible costs for the upgrading of completed ARIS applicative projects, which applicants will place in the priority areas defined in Slovenia’s Sustainable Smart Specialisation Strategy (S5). Projects that demonstrate a concentration of knowledge and competences, as well as scientific and technological excellence in the priority areas of S5, will be selected for co-financing. The call encourages, among other things, the upgrading of applied research, which is the link between research organisations and business, and thus offers long-term potential for successful penetration of global markets and more successful and integrated integration into global value chains.

The call for proposals Upgrading ARIS applicative projects (JP NAP) is part of Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027 and will be implemented under the priority Innovative knowledge-based society by pursuing the specific objective Developing and enhancing research and innovation capacities and the uptake of advanced technologies.

The call for proposals, worth €2,803,676.47, will receive approximately €1.6 million in European Regional Development Fund support, i.e., €1,572,000.

The call for proposals, which contributes to achieving the objectives of Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027, will be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia on 11 July 2025 by the Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency.
