EU funding for entrepreneurial skills of young people and women in the period 2025-2029
The Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development has approved EU funding for the Call for proposals for co-financing the activities to enhance entrepreneurial skills in the period 2025-2029. The call will come with a total budget of €3.1 million; it will receive €2.4 million from the European Social Fund Plus.
The call will advance youth and women entrepreneurship by building entrepreneurial skills, competences, innovation, and creativity for women and young people up to 29 years of age.
As part of the call, the following activities will be co-financed across Slovenia:
- training programmes START SMART and GROW UP featuring different sets of modules that will focus on providing participants with key entrepreneurial knowledge and skills and fostering entrepreneurial mindset,
- mentoring for participants who complete training programmes with mentors who will provide guidance, practical support, and valuable insight through a tailored and individualized approach to help individuals navigate the challenges of building and growing a business,
- coordination, implementation, and management of the project.
The call will encourage more young people and women to establish their own business and embark on entrepreneurial journey. It will also cultivate a supportive entrepreneurial ecosystem and foster the development of new ideas, products and services.
It will make a total of 3,140,000 euros available; 2,400,000 euros will come from the European Social Fund.
The call will be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia on 4 July 2025.
