The call for proposals aims to promote electricity generation from renewable sources in the Republic of Slovenia. As part of the call, investments will be made in new clean energy installations generating electricity by harnessing solar and wind power and in energy storage solutions and systems to make the supply of energy more reliable and sustainable.

The goal of the call is to increase the share of renewable energy in Slovenia’s energy mix in order to help the country reduce its dependence on fossil fuels and develop a reliable energy storage infrastructure.

With this call, Slovenia continues to deliver on its green transition goals and on its commitment to climate neutrality through the support of cohesion policy.

The call will make a total of €64,542,130.50 available; €63,526.956 will come from the European Regional Development Fund.

The Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Energy will publish the call for proposals in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia on 6 June 2025.
