The EU-funded call for proposals will result in the selection of a national project for cultural and artistic education to connect educational and cultural institutions. Co-financing is foreseen for one consortium partnership, which, in addition to the applicant, i.e. the lead partner, consists of four consortium partners based in different statistical regions in Slovenia. This will establish five regional cultural and arts education hubs that will ensure the delivery of high-quality cultural and arts education content and activities by cultural institutions and creators, and enhance the accessibility of such content and activities across various cultural fields in the selected regions. This will enhance cultural awareness and expression, particularly among pupils in the third cycle of primary education, secondary school students, and professionals in the educational institutions participating in the project.

The call for proposals JR ESF REG_KUV 2025-2029 is implemented under Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027, priority Skills and responsive labour market and pursues specific objective Improving the quality, inclusiveness, effectiveness and labour market relevance of education and training systems including through validation of non-formal and informal learning, to support acquisition of key competences including entrepreneurial and digital skills, and by promoting the introduction of dual-training systems and apprenticeships.

The call for proposals, worth €2,545,000.00, will receive EU funding of €1,624,982.50 from the European Social Fund Plus.

The call for proposals, which contributes to the realisation of the objectives set out in Slovenia’s EU Cohesion Policy Programme 2021-2027, will be published by the Ministry of Culture next Friday, 23 May 2025.
