The aim of the call for proposals is to encourage municipalities to develop sustainable, accessible, safe, continuous and comfortable transport arrangements that will enable residents to enjoy quality and efficient daily mobility. Support will be targeted at implementing measures based on approved local or regional integrated transport strategies.

The call for proposals aims to award EU funding to municipalities to co-finance investments that significantly contribute to reducing private motor traffic and improving conditions for public passenger transport, pedestrians and cyclists.

The following measures will be co-financed under the call for proposals:

  • Measure 1: Comprehensive rearrangement of streets and roads in line with sustainable mobility principles,
  • Measure 2: Improvement of dedicated areas for public passenger transport (PPT),
  • Measure 3: Improvement of pedestrian infrastructure,
  • Measure 4: Development of infrastructure for cyclists.

The call for proposals will contribute to realising the objectives of sustainable urban mobility, reducing the negative impact of transport on the environment and enhancing the quality of life in urban and rural communities.

The Cohesion Fund will contribute 42,098,544.09 euros for the call for proposals worth 49,527,698.93 euros.

The call for proposals is expected to be published in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia on Friday, 9 May 2025.
