Prime Minister Golob met with the residents of the Ljubljana neighbourhood of Sneberje and saw the state of the levee and the progress made on the buildings and roads damaged by last August’s devastating floods. He said that, with the temporary measures currently in place, the residents can feel safe: "When cooperation between the local community, the municipality and the State is good, the residents are also satisfied with the decisions."

He added that the Government would approve the recovery plan in May: "This plan is aimed at building a more resilient water and road infrastructure and bridges over the next five years." He stressed its importance for increasing resilience to potential natural disasters. "Today we saw a concrete case showing that the measures we have adopted since last August have been effective," he said.
