Message by the Prime Minister on World Health Day

Today marks a special day: World Health Day. So let's take this opportunity to reflect upon one of our most important values – health.

The slogan for this year's World Health Day is 'My health, my right'. These are words that define our common commitment that everyone has the right to quality health services, health education and information, and the right to clean water and air, access to healthy food, housing, decent working and environmental conditions, pay and non-discrimination.

A society’s health as a whole is one of the important indicators of its development. But today we are living longer, more dynamically and more diversely. This is an achievement, of course, but it also brings with it greater and different needs for health services. It is our responsibility to maintain our health and take care of our bodies' well-being by eating a healthy diet and exercising regularly, following our doctors’ orders.

Everyone wants to have fast access to high-quality healthcare, according to the latest standards. This Government is committed to maintaining and improving the public healthcare system, because public healthcare is what we deserve. We are a society of solidarity. This is in our genes, and we will continue on this path in the future.

I wish you good health and many healthy choices!
