Prime Minister's statement: "Finally some good news from New York. The UN Security Council has agreed on a resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. Slovenia, together with the non-permanent members of the UN Security Council, played a key role in proposing the resolution.

It is now high time for words to be followed by action and for the resolution to be implemented on the ground. Civilians are in dire need of humanitarian aid and protection. International humanitarian law must be upheld. We must restore people's hope for a peaceful future. Slovenia remains committed to playing a constructive and unifying role in the UN Security Council."
