Many believe that this is the time to reflect on the past year. But I, on the contrary, believe it is better to leave the bad things behind and remember mostly the good moments that can inspire us to make the future even brighter. And if anything, Slovenia has many inspiring moments to remember this year.

We have shown not only an incredible sense of unity, but also selfless solidarity with our fellow men and women. When times were particularly hard and when they needed it most. That is why I would like to say thank you again to everyone who selflessly volunteered to help those in need – affected by the floods or other misfortunes.

I wish you all a peaceful and calm Christmas and hope that we enter the new year together, a close-knit community of well-meaning people. I wish you all the best.
