This national holiday celebrates sport in the broadest sense, from a child's first steps on a sport court to the top sporting achievements of our athletes at major competitions, while also emphasising the importance of regular physical activity and the well-being of us all.

Under the motto "Let's Celebrate Actively", numerous events will take place all over Slovenia as part of the Day of Slovenian Sports, which also marks the start of the European Week of Sport, which will take place until 30 September.
