Prime Minister receives United States Congress delegation

The head of the delegation was the Republican Senator Lindsey Graham from South Carolina. The delegation included Robert Mendez, Democrat Senator from New Jersey and the Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

The meeting confirmed the excellent relations of the two friendly countries and NATO allies. Among other things, the American delegation highlighted Slovenia's noteworthy aid to Ukraine, as well as its constructive role in the Western Balkans. The Prime Minister and the members of the American Congress committed themselves to cooperation during Slovenia's term as a non-permanent member of the Security Council of the UN. They also touched upon the floods that hit Slovenia in the beginning of August and the resulting damage. The American delegation praised the Slovenian Government's response and effective dealing with the challenge.
