After meeting with the local people and Mayor Ivan Molan, he stressed the need for a double assessment of the damage to agricultural land, namely the direct damage to this year's crops and the damage that will require the replanting of plantations and vineyards. He pointed out that, unfortunately, the mechanisms for recovering such costs take a long time. However, Prime Minister Golob assured that the costs of the intervention measures could be recovered in the coming weeks.

"Members of the civil protection, rescue and relief teams, with their rapid response at the site, provided immediate assistance to the affected population by clearing fallen trees, repairing blown off roofs, pumping rainwater, extinguishing fires and other interventions. I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the sacrifice they have shown time and time again. This is a major natural disaster that also requires state aid," said Prime Minister Golob.
