Prime Minister Robert Golob at an event with deafblind people
Today, Prime Minister Robert Golob attended the charity event "Deafblind Among Us". At the event, he took the opportunity to say that it is necessary to speak loud and clear for those who cannot do so themselves: "Ladies and gentlemen, a deep tribute, a deep tribute to your will to live, to your struggle to be heard and to your struggle to be successful."
In Slovenia and worldwide, society is ageing, and longevity, unfortunately, brings with it diseases that are characteristic of the elderly population. "All forms of disability are severe, but unfortunately some are very severe. I therefore strongly support the view that deafblindness should be defined separately, as it cannot be derived from other forms of disability," the Prime Minister stressed, pointing out that it is one of the most severe forms of disability, which requires and deserves special treatment.
"No one can do it all alone, but together we can do it all," said the Prime Minister, assuring that he would add his small piece to the mosaic to tackle the problem.
