Of this amount, EUR 100,000 is provided to Caritas Slovenia, which is a strategic partner of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs for emergency humanitarian response.

At its correspondence meeting held last Wednesday, the Government also decided to provide Turkey with EUR 451,400 in material aid through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism. The convoy carrying material aid will leave for Turkey today and will be seen off by Minister of Defence Marjan Šarec.

In addition, Slovenia dispatched a logistics expert to Turkey through the European Civil Protection Mechanism last Monday to assess the situation and help with coordination. On Tuesday, another civil protection search and rescue unit was dispatched to the disaster-stricken area, consisting of seven search and rescue dogs with handlers and four escorts.
