The Minister presented to the two interlocutors what was achieved at the Government Office for Digital Transformation at the beginning of the new term of office. She highlighted the gigabit infrastructure development plan, the adoption of the Electronic Communications Act –2 and the drafting of amendments to the Promotion of Digital Inclusion Act, which will now enter the stage of inter-ministerial coordination.

The interlocutors exchanged views on the possibilities of cooperation in the digitalisation of the economy. They discussed artificial intelligence, robotics, semiconductors, connected communities and the lack of professionals with advanced digital competences.

In the discussion, the Minister mentioned, among other things, that in the field of artificial intelligence, around 70% of experts are employed in the academic world and only 30 % in industry. She also noted that in the field of artificial intelligence, experts tend to be educated and trained in Europe and Asia but then go elsewhere.

The interlocutors agreed that more concrete steps in support of the economy could be made more quickly together, so they decided on more frequent exchange of information, regular contacts and closer cooperation.
