Meeting on European cooperation projects with the EU Intellectual Property Office delegation

As part of the first round of bi-annual technical visits, the Slovenian Intellectual Property Office hosted today a visit by representatives of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The visit took place in a hybrid format, with some EUIPO staff joining the virtually.

Technical visits are an important part of the cooperation between EUIPO and national and regional intellectual property offices. EUIPO representatives presented the progress of European cooperation projects at the level of the European Union Intellectual Property Network, of which the Slovenian Office is a part. The Slovenian Office's staff presented the state of play and future plans for cooperation. The Office is involved in various European cooperation projects that benefit users and help build a better EU intellectual property system, including projects to develop new tools, support SMEs and present case law. The Office's staff is also active in various European cooperation working groups and approximation of practices programmes. Various issues related to current and future cooperation projects under the EUIPO Strategic Plan 2025 were also discussed.

The next EUIPO technical visit is planned for January 2023.
