Government of the Republic of Slovenia adopts Research Infrastructure Roadmap 2030
- Ministry of Education, Science and Sport
- Science and Innovation Directorate
Slovenia has so far successfully participated in 18 priority international projects from the Research Infrastructure Roadmap 2011–2020 and its Revision 2016. As part of the call for expressing interest in new international projects, 5 of the 13 proposals submitted met the criteria for inclusion on the priority list. The content of the document is in line with the latest revision of the priority list of international projects of the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures (ESFRI Roadmap 2021), which defines the latest strategic priorities in the field of research infrastructures at EU level. A revised list of 12 priority national areas is also presented; these areas do not deviate significantly from the current list from the Research Infrastructure Roadmap – NRRI 2011–2020. Significant innovations are in the fields of quantum and photonic materials and technologies, artificial intelligence, smart cities, forestry, storage and access to digital resources, and human genomics.
