Prime Minister Janez Janša at the launch of the book Lambert Ehrlich – Prophet of the Slovenian Nation
Prime Minister Janez Janša attended the presentation of Janez Juhant’s book Lambert Ehrlich – Prophet of the Slovenian Nation at Cankarjev dom. In addition to experts on the book, Marko and Bernarda Inzko Fink also took part in the presentation.
"The roots of the idea of an independent Slovenian state can be found in the Guard Academic Club, founded in the 1930s by Dr Lambert Ehrlich. At the end of 1941, he formulated an underground political programme entitled ‘The Slovenian Problem’, in which, as one of the options, he envisaged Slovenia as an independent state," Helena Janežič stated about the work of Lambert Ehrlich on the occasion of the Independent Slovenia exhibition "Sometimes Dreams Come True".
According to the author, the book is a presentation of one of the key Slovenians who paved the way for an independent Slovenia. The Prime Minister paid a symbolic tribute to his Slovenian compatriot with his presence at the book launch.
