Slovenia to send material assistance to Slovakia in the face of increasing refugee numbers

At its correspondence session, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia adopted a decision to send the Slovak Republic, through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, material assistance in the form of sleeping bags, blankets, diesel generators and protective masks. Its value is estimated at EUR 377,275, and the cost of transport at EUR 2,500.

The Slovak competent authority requested international assistance through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism and its Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC), due to increasing numbers of refugees from Ukraine.

The Slovenian Government tasked the Administration for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief, which is part of the Ministry of Defence, with the implementation of this decision.
