Minister Zvone Černač visits the Obalno–kraška region

As part of the Government’s visit to the Obalno–kraška region Minister for Development and EU Cohesion Policy Zvone Černač met, together with the Prime Minister, with the mayors of the region and the representatives of the Sežana Business Incubator.

After the working consultation, Minister Zvone Černač met, together with the Prime Minister Janez Janša and other Ministers, with the mayors of the Obalno–kraška region. The mayors presented their investment plans to Government representatives.

Minister Černač continued his visit in Sežana and met with the CEO of the Sežana Incubator Mr Dorijan Maršič and his colleagues. With the support of European Regional Development Fund, the company has been creating an innovative business environment that supports start-ups. At the meeting, which was also attended by Minister of Digital Transformation Mark Boris Andrijanič, representatives of the Sežana Incubator presented to both Minister the project SIO-INKSEŽANA 2020-2022 which aims to identify over 60 business ideas and support more than 40 potential entrepreneurs. ‘Boosting Slovenia’s economy by establishing a supportive environment that facilitates the establishment of companies that bring higher value added, and that supports the already-established companies tackle obstacles, is an example of effective use of the available EU funding that also helps bridge development gaps between individual areas of the region’ said Minister Černač.

Minister Černač concluded his visit to the Obalno–kraška region at a public debate with mayors, businesspeople and other development leaders in the region.
