At the start of the academic year, Minister Dr Logar delivers an introductory lecture at the Diplomatic Academy

Today, Minister Dr Anže Logar addressed the students of the Diplomatic Academy with an introductory lecture. “Over the past year, Slovenian diplomacy has made major shifts in establishing Slovenia’s firm links with the environments sharing our values and interests,” he told the diplomats at home and abroad.

Minister Logar expressed satisfaction with the extensive programme the Diplomatic Academy carried out last year, and described its activities as a good practice in the digital transition towards a more efficient use of digital channels to ensure constant acquisition of knowledge in the diplomatic ranks. He went on to present proposals for updating certain parts of the Slovenian foreign policy strategy, and outlined the activities in the framework of the Slovenian Council Presidency carried out thus far. Minister Logar also spoke about the future plans of the Slovenian diplomacy, which must continue to function as a professional, confident, dynamic, entrepreneurial and successful diplomatic service.

The Diplomatic Academy was established last year with the aim of educating future Slovenian diplomats and providing permanent training to the existing ones.
