EU funding for reducing flood risk in Kostanjevica na Krki

Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy has issued a grant decision for the project Measures to reduce flood risk in Kostanjevica na Krki. The project worth EUR 6.75 million will be implemented by the Slovenian Water Agency and will receive support from the Cohesion Fund in the amount of a little under EUR 2 million.
The project will ensure flood safety for 485 inhabitants and 154 buildings in the Municipality Kostanjevica na Krki. The planned measures for reducing flood risk represent the first phase of the measures for the Krka River basin and cover construction works in the urban areas of Kostanjevica na Krki. Other measures are planned to be implemented under the next programming period.
