Minister Logar discusses bilateral cooperation and developments in the region with Egypt's Foreign Minister
Foreign Minister Anže Logar met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry, in Brussels ahead of Monday's session of the European Union Foreign Affairs Council.
The Ministers assessed the relations between the two countries as good and traditionally friendly, reaffirming their mutual interest in continued political dialogue between the two countries, and called for the strengthening of bilateral cooperation on trade, science, tourism, and culture. They also highlighted the continued fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, with Minister Logar underlining the Slovenian donation of vaccines to Egypt.
The Ministers also touched on the current situation in the Southern Mediterranean, in particular the Middle East peace process and the situation in Libya.
