State Secretaries Dovžan and Varvitsiotis confirmed their readiness for close cooperation during the Slovenian Presidency, emphasising the need to strengthen the Union's resilience, recovery and strategic autonomy. They also agreed that the drawing of funds under the EU Recovery Fund should start as soon as possible.

Both Slovenia and Greece will organise and promote an inclusive debate on the future of Europe, which will take place in the context of the Conference on the Future of Europe. State secretaries Dovžan and Varvitsiotis stressed the importance of the rule of law and European values, and indicated their support for the continued EU enlargement talks with the Western Balkans.
