Prime Minister Janez Janša and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen had a good and constructive conversation mainly about the preparations and priorities of Slovenia's Presidency of the Council of the EU. In this context, they focused mostly on strengthening the European Union's resilience during the coronavirus crisis, as well as on strengthening the EU's resilience to possible future epidemics. According to President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, the European Commission and Slovenia will cooperate in providing support to the Western Balkan countries on their path to the European Union.

In their talks, Prime Minister Janez Janša and President of the European Commission Urusla von der Leyen also touched upon the efforts to provide a sufficient amount of vaccine against COVID-19 for all Europeans in a realistic period of time.
