Prime Minister Janez Janša: The Government's Visit to Carinthia will Lead to Highly Tangible Results
Today, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia is visiting Carinthia. Following the visit to Gašper trženje d.o.o. in Radlje ob Dravi, Prime Minister Janez Janša gave a brief statement for Carinthia television, highlighting the importance of the government's visits to individual regions. "It's one thing just to be stationed in Ljubljana studying documentation and papers, and another when you experience the subject of decision-making in the real lives of people - this way, you are making the right decisions."
To the statement from a journalist that Carinthians have a constant feeling of being left out, and that now the Government of the Republic of Slovenia has chosen Carinthia for its first visit, the Prime Minister responded that a visit to Carinthia had been planned earlier; however, it could not be implemented because of the spread of COVID-19. Moreover, he emphasised that much had already been done during the government's preparations for the visit. "Many unsolved problems had been set aside for too long," said the Prime Minister. Having said this, he underlined that this visit will lead to "highly tangible results." The government's plans for the region will be presented at the evening meeting of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia with mayors, businessmen, and other actors of development in the region.
During his visit to Gašper trženje d.o.o. from Radlje ob Dravi, the Prime Minister said that he notes with pleasure that the company was a family business that had emerged based on highly limited resources. A company that has brought up its successors and has been handed over into the hands of the next generation. "Such companies are the backbone of the Slovenian economy; they are solid, sustainable, crisis-resistant, and ensure the level of prosperity that we have in Slovenia. I am eagerly looking forward to seeing more such companies."
