Integrating three Karst sites of special interest under a joint brand

The Park of Military History Pivka, the Lipica Stud Farm and the Škocjan Caves Park started marketing their sights together four years ago. This entailed offering visitors ticket discounts that have now increased from 15 to 25 per cent. The directors of all three public institutes said that the integration has already proved to be very successful.

Cooperation between tourism providers is essential for rebooting the tourism industry. This crisis, like others, has opened up new possibilities and created new opportunities. All three public institutes have already reopened their doors to visitors and the number of visits has been a surprise to at least some of them.

In the oldest European stud farm, which is celebrating its 440th anniversary this year, the Minister of Economic Development and Technology Zdravko Počivalšek became the godfather of the first foal of the year at the Lipica Stud Farm this week. This year, 29 foals are expected, of which 12 have already been born. The first of them, the descendant of top Lipizzaners named Dubovina XLII, was born on 16 April, and the other 18 are expected by the end of June.
