Government Office for Development and European Cohesion Policy, the Managing Authority for the ERDF, the ESF and the Cohesion Fund, has issued a grant decision for the project ‘’Wastewater collection and treatment in the Meža river basin in Municipality Črna na Koroškem’’. Total project budget stands at EUR 3.8 million; the project will receive EUR 1.6 million funding from the ERDF.

The project aims to ensure that the wastewater discharged from homes, industry or agriculture in the area of Municipality Črna na Koroškem is properly collected and treated. Thus, it includes the construction of a sewerage system with 2.6 kilometres of sewers discharging wastewater to the newly constructed Črna wastewater treatment plant. At least 98.21% of the population in the area will be connected to the sewerage system once the project has been completed, which will help significantly reduce water pollution.
