dr. Božo Predalič

Dr Božo Predalič was born on 4 December 1957 in Ljubljana. He holds a bachelor’s degree in agronomy, a master’s degree in governmental and European studies, and a doctorate in law. During his agronomy studies, he received a Prešeren Prize for Students for his research work.
From 1982 to 2000, he was an entrepreneur. He then served, until 2001, as Deputy Chair of the Management Board of the Public Fund of the Republic of Slovenia for Regional Development and Preservation of Slovenian Rural Areas. From 2002 to 2005, he was Director of Nova obzorja publishing house, a position he also held in 2011 and 2012. He subsequently served until 2006 as Deputy Secretary-General of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia, and then until 2008 as Secretary-General of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia. He also held this office in 2012 and 2013, and again in 2020 and 2021. In 2013, he was Head of the Grosuplje Administrative Unit, after which he served as Secretary-General of the Association for the Values of Slovenian Independence. From 2015 to 2020, he was Secretary of a parliamentary group in the National Assembly, in the meantime, he served as Secretary-General of the Government, and in 2021 he became State Secretary at the Ministry of the Interior.
Dr Božo Predalič is married and the father of three children, as well as the proud grandfather of eleven grandchildren.
