Peter Lovšin
Peter Lovšin holds a degree in architecture and a specialist qualification in urban planning; he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Ljubljana and subsequently completed his specialisation at the same faculty. He has passed the relevant professional examinations and holds licences as a responsible spatial planner, licensed architect and licensed spatial planner.
He began his professional career as an architect with the status of an independent cultural practitioner, working in this capacity between 1998 and 2000. Since 2000, he has been Director of Urbania, prostorske rešitve d.o.o. His professional work includes the preparation of technical architectural documentation for residential and non-residential buildings at the conceptual design, building permit and detailed design stages. In the field of spatial planning, he has contributed to the preparation of spatial analyses and expert background studies, urban plans, the National Spatial Plan, the Regional Spatial Development Concept for part of the Ljubljana Urban Region, and municipal spatial plans at both the strategic and implementation levels. This work has included the preparation of analyses and expert background studies relating to settlement development, spatial data inventories, and analyses of existing conditions and development trends.
In the field of urban planning, he has participated in the preparation of municipal detailed spatial plans, expert background studies for the siting of planned constructions, spatial assessments, feasibility studies and site verification procedures. His professional experience also includes the preparation of hydrological and hydraulic studies, including peer reviews, for municipalities and individual investors.
He is a member of the Association of Urban Planners and Spatial Planners of Slovenia (DUPPS) and head of the Municipal Urban Planners Group at the Chamber of Architecture and Spatial Planning of Slovenia (ZAPS).
