Jasna Humar

Jasna Humar, born in 1975, completed her studies at the Faculty of Medicine in Ljubljana, where she obtained the title of Doctor of Medicine in 2000. She continued with a specialization in general surgery, which she completed in 2008. She began her professional career as a trainee doctor at the General Hospital Nova Gorica and then built a long-standing career at the General Hospital Slovenj Gradec, where she performed demanding professional and managerial duties, including serving as Head of the Department of General and Abdominal Surgery. In 2020, she returned to employment in Nova Gorica, where she advanced to the position of Medical Director of the hospital. In 2023, she continued her career at the Ministry of Health, initially as Acting Director General of the for Healthcare Directorate, and from November 2024 until 4 December 2025 as its Director General.

Since 5 December 2025, she has been serving as State Secretary at the Ministry of Health.
