Dr Tadej Ostrc

Dr Tadej Ostrc (born on 4 June 1981) is a Doctor of Dental Medicine and a specialist in prosthodontics. He also holds a doctorate in biomedical sciences and a master's degree in political science. His professional career encompasses clinical practice, academic research, teaching and experience in healthcare system management and public policy.

He completed his secondary education at Franc Miklošič General Upper Secondary School in Ljutomer in 2000, graduating from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ljubljana in 2008 with a degree in dental medicine. In 2009, he passed the state professional examination for the profession of Doctor of Dental Medicine. Between 2012 and 2017, he completed his specialist training in prosthodontics. In 2023, he obtained a doctorate in biomedicine, focusing on the treatment of headaches associated with temporomandibular disorders. During this time, he also obtained a master's degree in political science at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ljubljana, specialising in American and Global Studies. In 2025, he completed a postgraduate programme at Harvard Medical School.

He worked at the Ljubljana University Medical Centre and the Bežigrad Community Health Centre. He also actively participated in the education of future healthcare professionals at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ljubljana.

From 2022 to 2023, he served as State Secretary at the Ministry of Health, responsible for secondary and tertiary healthcare. In 2026, he was elected Deputy to the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia on list of Anže Logar's Democrats (Demokrati).
