Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Travel Advice: COVID-19
As the probability of infection with COVID-19 remains present, Slovenian citizens wishing to travel abroad are advised to follow the news on the spread of the virus, especially on the planned route, to check the conditions of entry into the country of destination, and to comply with local rules. Slovenian citizens returning from abroad are advised to follow the recommendations of the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).
The department monitors and participates in multilateral development cooperation activities, as well as in development and humanitarian aid initiatives within the European Union (EU), the Development Cooperation Committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD DAC), the United Nations (UN), its funds and agencies, and other international organisations and institutions.
At the bilateral level, it coordinates Slovenia’s emergency response to humanitarian crises and cooperates in the drafting of humanitarian and post-conflict aid guidelines through various actors. It also produces reports on development and humanitarian activities within international initiatives.
Furthermore, it is responsible for coordinating participation in the relevant EU external action instruments, i.e. the European Neighbourhood Instrument (ENI) and the European Development Fund (EDF).
