Ministry of Foreign Affairs Travel Advice: COVID-19

As the probability of infection with Covid-19 remains present, Slovenian citizens wishing to travel abroad are advised to follow the news on the spread of the virus, especially on the planned route, to check the conditions of entry into the country of destination, and to comply with local rules. Slovenian citizens returning from abroad are advised to follow the recommendations of the National Institute of Public Health (NIJZ).

The Diplomatic Academy offers professional and advanced training programmes for employees, and develops and carries out diplomatic studies, training and advanced programmes designed for employment at the ministry and in foreign service. As part of the training, it carries out professional examinations for the ministry’s employees.

The Academy develops and delivers lectures, professional seminars, workshops, round tables on foreign policy and international relations, training and advanced programmes to gain the necessary skills and knowledge about the areas of the ministry’s work, training for positions, written exams for diplomatic posts, diplomatic exams and higher-level diplomatic exams. It keeps records of diplomatic study programmes, training and advanced programmes, and exams.

Furthermore, it regulates cooperation with third parties, establishes links with related institutions and performs other related tasks.
