Maja Hostnik Kališek

Maja Hostnik Kališek graduated from the School of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana, and then obtained a master’s degree in tax law from the Faculty of Law, University of Maribor.

She began her career at the Ministry of Finance, where she spent more than ten years working in the Tax and Customs Policy Division. From 2007 to May 2021, she worked at the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia. Between May 2021 and May 2022, she served as State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance. She went on to work at the Directorate for the System of Tax, Customs and Other Public Finance Revenues until the end of February 2023, then returned to the Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, where she headed the General Economic Interest Service.
