International and European Affairs Office​

International and European Affairs Office coordinates the Ministry of Finance’s activities in the areas of European affairs, European Semester documents, multilateral and bilateral relations, and cooperation with international financial institutions and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). The Office prepares expert analyses, positions, and materials for Slovenia’s participation in European Union bodies, international financial organizations, and bilateral and multilateral relations. It also prepares official positions for ministerial meetings at the international level. The Office also participates in the formulation of economic policy measures, the coordination of interministerial procedures, the implementation of international projects, and the representation of the Ministry’s interests at the international level. Representatives also actively participate in expert committees of the Council of the EU, the OECD, and the Council of the Centre of Excellence in Finance. The Office is also responsible for coordinating the preparation and submission of Slovenia’s projects for assistance under the European Commission’s Technical Support Instrument (TSI).
