War veterans and Military Heritage Directorate
The Directorate performs administrative, professional, and administrative-technical tasks in the field of war invalids, war veterans, victims of war violence, and war cemeteries. It provides professional, administrative, and financial support to the Commission of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for Resolving Issues Related to Hidden Graves. It prepares and implements procedures for granting status to and co-financing the activities of nongovernmental organizations acting in the public interest in the aforementioned areas, and monitors their operations. It carries out museum activities in the field of military history within the Slovenian ethnic territory, as well as tasks related to monitoring and documenting the development of the Slovenian Armed Forces.
