Velislav Žvipelj
Velislav Žvipelj was born on 14 March 1959. He holds a university degree in agronomy. From 2006 to 2020, he served as Director of the Slovenian Regional Development Fund, whose mission is to provide financial support aimed at reducing development disparities among Slovenian regions. Starting in 2021, he was employed at the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sport, where he served as Head of the Division for Development Incentives in the Wood Industry within the Wood Industry Directorate.
He served as Chair and member of the supervisory boards of Žičnice Vogel Bohinj and several regional development agencies.
In his spare time, he enjoys photography and gardening.
He took up the position of State Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture on 5 June 2026.
