Acting Director

Acting director of the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for National Minorities

The Acting director of the Office of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia for National Minorities has more than 20 years of experience working in state institutions, in both the legislative and the executive branches of power. Throughout her career, she has been engaged and took an active part in areas relating to national communities, minority legislation, education, culture, and human rights.

She has been directly involved in the legislative and political issues pertaining to the Italian and the Hungarian national communities, their educational and media system, and cross-border cooperation with the two countries.

She has experience in management, inter-ministerial coordination, and representing the views of state authorities and participation in policy-making. As a member of the Council of Officials, she has actively contributed to shaping the strategic guideline on the national scale. She has a thorough knowledge of the legislative procedure, the structure of state administration, and the functioning of public institutions.

She recognises the importance of protecting minorities' rights, respecting diversity, and the role of an inclusive and equitable public policy.
