SIGOV-CERT Division
SIGOV-CERT serves as the contact point for reporting incidents by obligated entities under the Information Security Act (ZInfV) and provides methodological assistance in addressing and resolving cyber incidents. Since 2024, SIGOV-CERT has been accredited as part of the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) TF-CSIRT Trusted Introducer, which fosters trust, collaboration, and information exchange among CSIRT teams across Europe, contributing to a higher level of cybersecurity. Additionally, SIGOV-CERT is a member of the CSIRT network of the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA).
Responsibilities of SIGOV-CERT
SIGOV-CERT performs legally mandated tasks for CSIRT within government bodies, as well as the following duties:
- receives, addresses, and evaluates incident reports from obligated entities, while documenting, storing, and safeguarding this data,
- provides methodological support, assistance, and collaboration to entities during incidents,
- collaborates with the national CSIRT and the relevant national authority, offering information on its activities under this law securely and upon request,
- issues alerts regarding risks and vulnerabilities in the area of information security for government bodies.
Key Information (RFC 2350)
RFC 2350 is a standardized document that provides key information about our incident response center for information systems within government bodies. Its purpose is to transparently present our mission, services, contact details, as well as our policies on cooperation and confidentiality. The document facilitates easy connection and effective collaboration with other CSIRT teams.
