The Main Office performs administrative, expert, technical and supervisory tasks related to spatial data infrastructure and the integration of spatial databases. It issues data and certificates and provides electronic services related to spatial data. It is responsible for the computerisation of land surveying services and manages information and telecommunication infrastructure. The Office also ensures system, applications and user support and is responsible for education in the area of informatics. It provides assistance in dealing with substantive legal matters to all offices and regional geodetic offices and performs tasks related to personal data protection, financial operation, public procurement, human resources, education and office administration. The Office is also responsible for safety and health at work and other joint organisational tasks important for the functioning of the Surveying and Mapping Authority.
