The Division is tasked with the management of investment projects for main and regional roads and cycling route networks. It performs project management activities such as the siting of buildings, the drafting of project and investment documentation, the settlement of property law matters, the obtaining of administrative authorisations and opinions, the construction and other work related to the construction, and the monitoring of facilities during the warranty period.

The Division ensures that all stages of activity are in line with statutory provisions and draws special attention to the use of the code of professional conduct, environmentally-friendly technologies, methodologies and means to reduce the negative impact of transport on the environment, and to the communication with the interested public and local communities.

Its investment management is divided into the North project, the West project, the South project and the East project. The projects of geotechnical engineering, facilities, cycling connections and the environment are carried out throughout the entire territory of the Republic of Slovenia.
